ABOUT ST. ANGELA ACADEMY

School Principal's Welcome,

Welcome to St. Angela Academy, a private High school which is situated in Borrowdale, Harare. Our small classes, which average about ten students, offer one-to-one personalised tuition to students in a quiet, conducive and Christian environment. We offer the Cambridge curriculum to Forms 1 to 6 in Arts, Science and Commercial subjects. Our teachers are highly qualified and experienced, and their dedication and commitment to the school is next to none. In order to groom well-rounded students, we also offer various sporting and extra-curricular activities which include soccer, basketball, tennis, swmming and golf. Other activities include drama, debating, chess, darts and snooker. Computer based learning is provided throughout the academic life of the student.

We offer full day tuition, and the school uniform is compulsory. Classes run from 7.30am to 4.00pm, with afternoons being reserved for sporting activities and supervised homework. We provide parent-teacher consultations on a regular basis for timeous interventions when the need arises. Transport is availble from the City Centre on an arranged basis, and limited boarding facilities are available for girls.

We are committed to provide good quality education to our students.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Margaret Bhowa (BEd, MEd)
School Principal

Our Philosophy

Our motto is Knowledge, Wisdom and Integrity. We teach our students to acquire KNOWLEDGE through wide reading and research, to acquire WISDOM though reasoning, resourcefulness and prayerfulness, and above all to have INTEGRITY as the driving principle in all the decisions and choices they make in life.

Our History/ Future Plans

The school started off as a passion to make a difference to the lives of children, and has since bloomed into the establishment of a fully fledged High School. Our vision is to build bigger premises for St. Angela Primary and Secondary Schools. To this end the school has already acquired a 50ha plot just 30km outside Harare, and construction is expected to commence in 2019.
